National Cheeseburger Day

When I opened my Inbox this morning, I was greeted by this lovely message from my friends at Ponderosa Steak House.  Thank you so very much!  I almost missed it! Whew!

Unfortunately, this also caused me to panic.  I had not sent Cheeseburger Day cards to all my friends.  I had not decorated my house in the traditional beef, cheese and bun adornments the we see all over the place this time of year.  In fact, my house was entirely bun-less.  I felt the shame of lack of planning for this this festive day. The utter embarrassment is almost too much to handle.

I must rectify this situation before it is too late! There’s no time to put up my tree and decorate it with gorgonzola and mozzarella as in previous years.  No time to string a festive French fry garland. My apologies.  All that I can do is to offer you a hearty handshake of ketchup and a gherkin slice to top it off and promise that I will be better prepared next year.

Happy National Cheeseburger Day to all, and to all a good night!

No kidding, I’m actually having a cheeseburger for lunch. This is freaky. You know with my MCS I never go to the store. And I hardly eat red meat. But I went and got my antibiotic free, grass fed, humanely raised beef this morning. I don’t know if it was you or Ponderosa with those strong psychic vibes. But yum o. In honor of the day I think I’ll go listen to Jimmy Buffett’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise.”

Wow, that is just too weird — then again I am starting to get used to these things happening. I wonder if I send out “Fritos vibes” today, I will have any luck. 🙂
